The Moto3 World Championship has held its fifth pole position battle at the Mugello Circuit, at the Italian Grand Prix, where these two riders have once again dominated. Without a doubt, these riders continue to set the pace in the lightweight category, with Jonas Folger ultimately taking pole, followed by Viñales and Rins.
The Moto3 World Championship held its official practice session at the Mugello circuit with maximum excitement. Without a doubt, pole position in the lightweight category is very valuable, several riders are fighting for it and have plenty of chances, with Jonas Folger ultimately the fastest with a lap time of 1:57.603 and taking pole in this fifth round of the 2013 season.
The session began with a very strong Miguel Oliveira on his Mahindra. The Portuguese rider dominated the times for almost the entire session, while we saw the rest of the riders unable to bring that lap time down in the final sector, where everyone was losing a lot of distance to the leader. But finally, with 10 minutes remaining, the full action began with everyone at full throttle.
The first to manage to overtake
So pole for Jonas, but pace for Mack, while the rest of the riders seem to be having more difficulty on this track. The top 10 on the grid for this fifth round of the Moto3 season is completed by Folger 1st, Viñales 2nd, Rins 3rd, Miller 4th, Salom 5th, Oliveira 6th, Antonelli 7th, Kornfeil 8th, Webb 9th and 10th Márquez. Meanwhile, the rest of our riders have qualified I.Viñales 13th, Guevara 26th, Vázquez 31st and Carrasco 33rd.
So it was a good day for the German, who takes his first pole of the 2013 season and the third of his racing career. He will undoubtedly be a tough rival for our riders, and we will see how Salom, Rins and Viñales fare in terms of pace tomorrow.
Maximum excitement awaits us in tomorrow’s race, don’t miss Moto3 and shine with youth.
