The Jerez Circuit has hosted several test days this week for various Superbike World Championship teams, so we’ve been able to see many riders in action, including 2013 SBK World Champion Tom Sykes, who is already working on his Kawasaki for 2014.
More specifically, there were two days of testing for several teams, including the Kawasaki Racing Team, the Fixi Crescent Suzuki and the official Ducati team. So there was plenty of action on the Andalusian track, which a few weeks ago closed the 2013 season of this spectacular Superbike World Championship, crowning Sykes.
Yesterday these two days of testing came to an end, and now we’ll have to wait until next November for the last pre-season test of 2013, since after that the ban on testing at official circuits will take effect.
For the Kawasaki Racing Team, we were able to see in action the World Champion rider, Briton Tom Sykes, and also Loris Baz. The Frenchman has fully recovered from the injury that prevented him from taking part in the final tests of the championship year. Meanwhile, from the official Ducati team we saw for the first time the two men confirmed this week, Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano, both with work ahead to adapt to this machine and start developing it.
The third team present was the Fixi Crescent Suzuki, which ran with Leon Camier and Alex Lowes, the latter being the surprise of the two days, since it was taken for granted that the British Superbike Champion would make the jump to MotoGP in 2014, but it seems he will finally be in Superbikes with Suzuki.
Until November.
