Davide Giugliano returns to Superbike action at Imola
Rider Davide Giugliano returns to the action of the World Superbike Championship for the championship round at the Imola Circuit. After missing the start of the 2015 season due to the injury he suffered on the Australian track during the last pre-season test, the Italian is back with great enthusiasm and determination, although not yet at 100% physically.

The rider Davide Giugliano returns to Superbike World Championship action for the championship round at the Imola Circuit, so after missing the start of the 2015 season due to the injury he suffered on the Australian track during the last pre-season test, the Italian returns with plenty of enthusiasm and is going all out, although not yet at 100% physically.
Giugliano is eager to climb aboard his Panigale R of Aruba.it Racing-Ducati, and he’s doing it at home, so everyone will be supporting and encouraging him. But it has undoubtedly been a very difficult start to the season for him, as the crash at Phillip Island was terrible, resulting in fractures to the L1 and L2 vertebrae. Fortunately, after these months off recovering, we now see again one of the most interesting riders in the competition.
Last week Giugliano returned to the track at the Il Sagittario International Circuit where he held a training session with the two-time World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi. Above all, to see what feeling he had on track, on the bike and in relation to his injury.
The feeling was very good, I couldn’t wait any longer to get back on a bike,” admits Giugliano. “I took it easy, although afterwards with each lap I started to push a little more, always with a safety margin. Obviously I’m not at 100% because I haven’t been able to do a complete preparation, only work in the pool. The idea is to start real training from Imola onwards, to fully regain my athletic condition.
So we’re eager to see Giugliano in action, although we can’t skip over the last two events in which our Xavi Forés has taken part and who has held the flag high. Davide has also spoken about this:
Forés has done very well, there’s nothing to say against him. I think he has even exceeded everyone’s expectations. He earned this opportunity and I hope that in the future he can enter the World Championship, he deserves it.
Get ready as Davide arrives, one of the favourites at the start of the season.
