David Salom will have to go under the knife again
Rider David Salom is going to have to undergo surgery again, as after a review of his scaphoid bone injury in his right hand, it has been found that his recovery is not progressing correctly, so he will have to go back under the knife.
It seems that several months after the operation in which a screw was placed to join the bone, his recovery is not going as planned, as the bone is not healing properly and causes him discomfort in his wrist when he races.
The Spaniard who is competing in the World Superbike Championship cannot ride at his level because of this pain and discomfort, so the doctors have recommended that he undergo surgery again to secure the bone and prevent further damage.
The problem is that this month is very busy for the rider, as three rounds of the SBK World Championship are going to be held, so we will see what decision he makes.
We will keep a close eye on David Salom.
