David Alonso wins the Moto3 World Championship race in Thailand
Rider David Alonso has claimed victory in the Moto3 World Championship at the Chang Circuit in Thailand, with Furusato and Veijer completing the podium.

The Moto3 World Championship was the first to take to the track on Sunday at the Chang Circuit in Thailand, so there was great anticipation, with eyes fixed on the favourites of the small-displacement category of the Motorcycle World Championship.
The start was good for Deniz Oncu, who held the lead, while Sasaki managed to overtake several riders to take 2nd behind the Turk. But Masia quickly moved into the front group, and we saw plenty of changes in position.
As the laps went by, we suddenly saw the crash between David Muñoz and Ayumu Sasaki. It was rather strange: we don’t know whether the 44 had a problem with his bike, and the Japanese rider couldn’t avoid it, so both of them went down. Holgado was also affected but didn’t fall. Without a doubt, this crash puts Ayumu’s title hopes further out of reach.
At the front, there were many position changes. As always in Moto3, it was an extreme race with many riders ready to fight and with chances of winning. Finally, we saw David Alonso take victory in Thailand after a heart-stopping finish, followed by Furusato and Veijer on the podium. The top 10 was completed by Masia, Oncu, Holgado, Bertelle, Rossi, Yamanaka and Toba. With this result, Masia remains the leader, now 17 points ahead of Sasaki.
On to the next race.
