Blazusiak is crowned SuperEnduro 2013 champion and Gibert amazes
The 2013 SuperEnduro World Championship has come to an end with Taddy Blazusiak as the great champion. The Pole seems unbeatable, but on this occasion we must also highlight the outstanding work of Dani Gibert and Alfredo Gómez, as well as Laia Sanz, who wins it all. Without a doubt, a final round to remember in France. Lots of show, spectacle and a farewell until next season's Indoor Enduro.

Last weekend we had the SuperEnduro action in Tours (France), at the Parc des Expositions, where Taddy Blazusiak was unstoppable. The truth is the Pole has once again proven himself unbeatable in the discipline, taking his fourth crown and dominating the event, although with many rivals in top form, such as Jonny Walker, who gave him quite a fight with his KTM, but the 2012 champion quickly took back control of the situation.
With Blazusiak dominating, David Knight gave it his all but ultimately could not get close to the lead and finished second in that first heat. With this result, Taddy had the chance to clinch the title in the second final, although it is always the most difficult because the start is reversed, so the KTM rider had a hard task ahead. Moreover, the start was quite poor, but with Taddy on track anything can happen, and he began a historic comeback that took him to second place, behind a spectacular Dani Gibert. The Husaberg rider had achieved his first victory in the Indoor Enduro World Championship (SuperEnduro) in this second final, marking a milestone in his great career. Also very noteworthy was the third place of our Alfredo Gómez, a complete day for our riders.
Thanks to that second place, Taddy secured the title, and we saw our Gibert in his purest form. He had already performed brilliantly in Barcelona, so it was only a matter of time before the moment came, and it did in France, at the final round of the 2013 season. There was even more show to come with the third superfinal, won by Knight after taking advantage of a mistake by Blazusiak, so the Briton claimed the runner-up spot ahead of Walker.
In the Junior category, Giacomo Redondi prevailed, but it was Gas Gas rider Danny McCanney who managed to claim the world title after his second place in Tours. But there were not only these two categories: for the first time there was also a women’s event, and as could not be otherwise, our Laia Sanz won ahead of Britain’s Jane Daniels and France’s Samantha Tichet, whom she beat by a full lap.
Great Blazusiak, Gibert and Gómez; and of course our Sanz.
