Axel Pons Makes His World Championship Debut

At the Jerez Grand Prix there will be several young riders invited to take part as wild cards. Among them is a famous surname in the World Championship: Axel Pons, son of Sito Pons, will compete in the 125cc race.

The 16-year-old will race a bike from the Jack&Jones WRB team, alongside its two official riders, Nico Terol and Simone Corsi.

Young Pons has two years of experience in the CEV and some good results in the Catalan Territorial Championships on his record. Now his debut in the World Motorcycle Championship has drawn considerable attention from the press, since it marks the debut of the son of a two-time world champion.

So we will follow the progress of this young talent, as he will be given a wild card in more 125cc World Championship races.
