Alt wins Rookies Cup double at Assen, with Ramírez 2nd
Rider Florian Alt has achieved a Red Bull Rookies Cup double at the Assen Circuit, followed by a mighty Marcos Ramírez, who finished 2nd in a hard-fought race.

The German rider has taken this double, which gives him wings in the overall standings, although on this occasion he did not have it easy either, as our Marcos Ramírez gave him a hard time, finishing just 0.236s behind the leader. Philipp Oettl closed out the podium, also very close at 0.290s.
Behind them, more than seven tenths back, came the chasing group, but the excitement was focused on the leaders. Although the race started somewhat eventfully at the first corner, with the crash of pole-sitter Karel Hanika, which was very spectacular and harsh.
So from that start, Alt took the lead, followed by Ramírez, who managed to get past Oettl at the start and placed himself behind the leader, while Oettl tried to overtake both riders. Without doubt a great afternoon for Alt, who thereby secured his fourth victory of the season and takes the championship lead. It was also a great day for our 24, who posted an excellent result in a setting full of fans who did not want to miss the nursery of the World Motorcycle Championship.
The rest of the Spanish riders did not do badly at all. Martín put together a superb race, taking 6th place, so a day to remember and to keep working as he does every day. For his part, Spain finished 15th and Pérez 18th, step by step.
The next races will be at Sachsenring this week, so more Rookies action.
