Alberto Moncayo wins the 125GP CEV race at Albacete
The 125GP race of the Spanish Speed Championship has been dominated by Alberto Moncayo, the rider from Andalucía Derbi who thus achieved his first win in the category at Albacete.
The race did not start very well for the pole-sitter, who dropped to sixth place after the start, although little by little he worked his way up to the leading group, where Efrén Vázquez, Ricard Cardús, Lorenzo Savadori and Salom were fighting for the win.
The rider from the Andalucía Derbi team started a battle with his rivals until he finally managed to take the lead of the group of five front-runners, after which he managed to open a gap over the rest, since Vázquez, Cardús, Savadori and Salom were still battling to move forward.
So Moncayo went all out for the win, while behind him Vázquez managed to break away from the group and moved into second place to try to catch the race leader, but the leader of the standings preferred to hold his position and not risk a crash.
Therefore, Moncayo secured his first win ahead of Vázquez and Salom, who in the end managed to take third place.
We will keep following 125GP CEV.
